The fact that words imbue even greater power from those in charge was exemplified aptly by the leadership of our House Prefects, paving the way for the rest of the student body. After hearing from our two speakers at the start of term, they each came up with one word which resonated with them for their House to focus on when approaching ‘The Power of Words’. Their varying interpretations to inspire meaning and capture such a powerful topic were fantastic. These seven words which framed our focus throughout Holocaust Education Week were: Differences, Ignorance, Memory, Reflection, Shock, Hope and Displacement. The House Boards showcase our willingness as a community to address what truly matters, to stand up for what is right, no matter how hard.
