Student Verse Selected for New Poetry Book

Busta Rhyme

Congratulations to Year 9 students Namam Kadir, Isabel Harber, and Year 11 pupil Isabelle Kinghorn who have had their poems selected for

publication in a new book entitled ‘Busta Rhyme’. This book contains inspirational verse covering a range of different topics and themes. Students from 27 schools across London and the Home Counties have taken inspiration from lyrics, art, nature and have used it to craft po-ems using creativity, technique and skill. Young STAGS authors were very excited to see their poems in print. Isabelle penned ‘She’ll be gone soon’, Isabel Harber created a poem entitled ‘Sara Bukai’ and Namam wrote ‘Glory days’.
STAGS Students were given the opportunity to write and submit their verse during an English class activity held during spring of this year associated with the Young writers Association. Associate Curriculum Leader for English teacher Mrs Hall said ‘The English Department was very impressed by the high standard of entries this year’
