STAGS work closely with this specialist service as part of its commitment to offering high quality access to information, advice and guidance.
Youth Connexions Hertfordshire is a service for young people which aims to provide information; advice; guidance; support, and personal development opportunities for 13-19 year olds (up to 25 years for young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities). Personal Advisers from Youth Connexions will be visiting STAGS on a regular basis offering individual interviews; group sessions and a weekly drop-in, every Friday lunchtime (Post 16 Office). Introductions have been made to the whole of Year 11 so that all students are aware of where they can access help and information.
Students can also access a dedicated website to find out more about the services of Youth Connexions Hertfordshire and record feedback on the service at: www.youthconnexions.org They can also see information about issues and opportunities at www.channelmogo.org and find out what is going on in Hertfordshire for them at www.mogolistings.org
Parents will have the opportunity to meet the Youth Connexions’ staff at selected parents’ events in school throughout the year.
