Subject Taster Week

During the week commencing 16 October 2017, Year 11 Students will have the opportunity to hear from their teachers during lessons about what studying that subject entails at A Level. This should aid students in planning for the Post 16 Information evening.

Subject Fair - Tuesday 17 October 2017, 1.05pm

An opportunity for Year 11 students to speak with Sixth Formers studying A Levels from all curriculum areas in order to gain an understanding of A Level study from a student’s perspective.

Post 16 Information Evening - Wednesday 8 November 2017

A 6.30pm start will enable parents and students to visit the Sixth Form Centre to view the facilities. At 7.00pm there will be a presentation in the Main Hall, which is followed by the opportunity to visit subject areas throughout the school, and hear from teachers and students about the A Level curriculum. A map with roomings will be provided on the evening.

Progression Meetings - November 2017/February 2018

Every Year 11 student will have one-to-one meetings with a member of staff from the Senior Team to help them to settle on their Post 16 choices and to advise them of their options and various pathways.

Oxbridge and other competitive applications Information Evening - Thursday 16 November 2017

This evening starts at 7.00pm and aims to educate students and parents about the application processes for the most competitive courses. Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 are invited.
