Our Post 16 enrichment programme offers students a chance to develop a wide range of skills and talent.
These skills can be linked to subjects or courses studied, or they may be an area of study students are taking part in for the first time.
The aim of enrichment is to help foster or develop skills and talents that students have a passion or interest in, that directly relate to skills required in real world situations. We are extremely proud of the provision available to our students and the way in which it continues to build on the outstanding PSHE and Careers work the students do in Years 7-11. Activities that are available onsite include:
- Sports Leadership
- Debating Society
- Reading groups
- Dragons’ Apprentice
- Young Enterprise
- Sporting clubs
Students are also offered the opportunity to take part in a range of offsite activities such as visiting art galleries, taking part in sport at a local facility or watching a theatre performance. Students will also have the opportunity to develop valuable life skills including sports leadership, self defense and financial awareness. Furthermore, we offer students the invaluable opportunity to gain accreditation for the Duke of Edinburgh schemes, and also offer an exciting worldwide expedition opportunity too.
