On Sunday 16th September, the PTA hosted a Welcome BBQ for our new Year 7 students and their families. The sun shone for the afternoon ensuring that fun was had by all. The PTA team provided the opportunity to purchase food freshly cooked on the BBQ, candy floss as well as drinks from the bar tent. Helen Buck, Chair of the PTA commented: “This is an annual event and shows the wider ability of the PTA to support both parents and students who are new to STAGS. The afternoon provides an excellent opportunity for families to meet each other, as we know from our own experience as STAGS parents, that the girls will form friendships that will last throughout their time at STAGS and beyond.” 

The event has also raised over £1500 towards the new PTA project - the refurbishment of the Food         Technology classrooms. There was also the chance for an Inter-House Cake Contest with the following  students winning 10 House Points for having the best decorated cakes in their Form Group:  Tigerlily Collins, Abigail Johnson, Lucile Rouchy, Ausra Holbrook, Georgia McGrory, Chloe Jackson and Emefa Gbedemah.  Congratulations to Seren Kilby for winning the best decorated cakes overall in Year 7. Plus a special mention to Daisy Fitter Clarke, who created Year 7 Director of Learning, Miss Hewitt, in icing. Well done to all the students who took part!

The next PTA event will be a Nearly New Uniform Sale scheduled for Saturday 20th October, 10.00-11.30am.
