St Albans Cathedral Proud to Celebrate Young Musicians Talent For The Music Trust

St Alban's Cathedral was proud to host a free 45 minute concert on Saturday afternoon 8th April to celebrate the talent of ten young local musicians. The aim was to provide the students with a unique platform and to bring the work of The Music Trust to a wider audience. The young artists who performed were all finalists who took part in the 7th St Albans Young Musicians Music competition at the Cathedral earlier in February. Among those performing was St Albans Girls’ School, Year 10 student violinist Alice Drury (seen here far right) who impressed the local audience with her magical rendition of Un Poco Triste by Suk.’ She said ‘It was really exciting and an honour to play in the Abbey. I enjoyed it so much more this time, because I was not under pressure to compete’. For more information : http://www.themusictrust.com/
