2024 A Level and GCSE Results
Congratulations to all of our students on their fantastic achievements this year in the public examinations. The outcomes for our young people have been superb at all levels, and this is a testament to all of our amazing staff who kept our students engaged, enthused and focused whilst providing excellent quality teaching, learning and support.
A Level
At A Level presently, a very impressive 37% of grades achieved were A*-A; 67% of grades were A*-B; 85% A*-C and 99.5% of grades were A*-E. 141 A* and A grades were achieved by this fantastic cohort. These figures will likely increase as some students narrowly missed the next grade up by one mark and will have their papers remarked. We are so proud of our students’ outstanding achievements. Their hard work and dedication over the past seven years at STAGS has definitely been rewarded and ensures an excellent foundation for their futures.
Pippa achieved the highest national outcome in A Level Biology and we are exceptionally proud of her superb success which will light the way for her future at Cambridge to read Natural Sciences.
Amongst so many notable successes, many congratulations go to Sophie, Esme, Ell, Lottie, Lauren, Tess, Mariella, Meggie and Isabella who all gained three A*s, an incredible achievement, and so richly deserved, forging the way forward to read a range of exciting courses including History and Politics at Cambridge; Politics, Sociology and Modern Langauges at Leeds; Bristol for English Literature, and Modern Languages at Exeter, as well as Geography at Manchester. Students’ efforts and dedication to independent study and wider reading, have contributed towards wonderful opportunities for further study in a range of Psychology courses, Economics, Education, Fashion and Marketing, Interior Design, Digital Media, BSL, Civil Engineering, Management and Costume Design being undertaken amongst many others. Pathways for students moving forward also include a number of Apprenticeships.
Arianwen, Elektra, Camille, Eleanor, Hannah, Greta, Alexandra, Edda, Meggie, Milena and Bella are delighted with their exceptional success of A*s and A grades in their subjects and will read courses including Mathematics at Birmingham, Material Sciences at Oxford, Modern Languages and International Relations at Leeds amongst many others. Congratulations to all students on their amazing achievements and very best wishes for their future endeavours. We wish all of our students every success, which is so richly deserved. These results are only possible because of the encouragement of parents and staff, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have supported our students so admirably in achieving their wonderful goals.
GCSE
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements across this year's GCSE results. Students' hard work, dedication, and resilience have truly paid off, reflecting the supportive environment that we cultivate at STAGS. These results are not only outcomes; they represent the culmination of years of effort, personal growth, and a commitment to excellence.
Students have exceeded expectations, with an impressive 174 Grade 9 results achieved across a wide range of subjects. This success is a testament to the collaborative efforts of our talented colleagues, supportive families, and the relentless determination of the students themselves. We are extremely proud of how the year group have risen to the challenges of their studies.
As a school, we are committed to nurturing the potential of every student, and these results reaffirm our belief in the power of education to transform lives. We congratulate students on their remarkable achievements and look forward to supporting them as they take the next exciting steps in their educational journeys. In addition to A Level subjects being studied, students receiving their results today will also be undertaking college and apprenticeship courses including Aviation and Cabin Crew, Beauty Therapy, Hospitality, Catering and Child Care.
There have been incredible successes across a range of subjects this year including the percentage of outcomes of Grades 9-7 reaching 38 for English Literature, 77 for Chemistry, 45 for Spanish and 75 for Physics! Anna and Olivia are commended on achieving all Grade 9s putting them at the top of their age group nationally. Also congratulations to Ellen, Pia, Adara, Ruby, Eva and Mini who achieved Grade 8s and 9s across their GCSEs. During the envelope opening process, Anna reflected that ‘it was a nerve racking morning for everyone, but I am really happy with our outcomes’. We congratulate our students on their remarkable achievements and look forward to supporting them as they take the next exciting steps in their educational journeys.
