On Wednesday 18th July, we visited the Harry Potter Studios to support our Media Studies GCSE. The trip was both educational and fantastic. Being a huge Potterhead, it was interesting to learn how such a major motion picture was brought to life. We learnt all the tips and tricks from behind the scenes and saw the true hard work and effort displayed by each individual member of the production team to transfer the story from page to screen. We were given tasks to complete and questions to consider, in order to develop our understanding of media language and representation. We looked at the convergence of a variety of media platforms that have contributed to the success of the marketing and distribution of Harry Potter.
