Form Tutor Reviews (Year 7 and 12)

'It was really fantastic to hear how my daughter was settling into all aspects of school life. I feel confident that she is well-supported and that any issues would be communicated to me quickly. Thank you!'

Year 7 Parent

Every student at St Albans Girls' School is placed in a Form Group with a Form Tutor(s) who sees them every day. Therefore, Form Tutor Review  is an invaluable opportunity to meet with the member of staff who sees your son/daughter the most and can give you an update on all aspects of their school life.

Form Tutor Review takes place online in the Autumn Term for Year 7 and 12 students as they start a new phase in their educational life.  It is to see how your child has settled into the new year/ environment, but so that any issues can be addressed quickly.

Parents will be informed that the day is approaching and sent information in order to make an appointment for a virtual meeting. The meeting is 5 minutes long and is intended to be an overview of how your child has settled into a new phase in their education.

Form Tutors will have general information about academic progress, attendance, and SEN/D needs. If you have any queries/concerns about individual subject areas, then it is best to contact the teacher or curriculum leader individually via email. Any issues or queries raised on this day will be followed up by relevant staff and fed back to you.
