Students’ attitudes to learning, behaviour and all aspects of school life are exemplary. They value and thrive on the many opportunities to take on responsibility, as well as the exciting range of enrichment activities on offer. As a result, they develop very strong spiritual, moral, social and cultural values.
The Student Voice Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 1:15pm in the Dance Studio.
Student Voice is led by the two Year 12 Head Students and two Deputy Head Students.
Every Form Group at St Albans Girls' School has two students who are the representatives of the Form at Student Voice. Prior to each meeting the agenda is shared with all students so that the representatives can discuss the issues with their Form Group.
The Head Students meets frequently with the Head Teacher, Mrs Chapman to review the minutes from the meeting to ensure that the voice of the students is heard.
Key Areas discussed are:
- School environment and resources
- The wider student experience
- The Safe School Map
- The School Improvement Plan
- Catering provision
In addition to the monthly Student Voice meetings the Heads of each Key Stage also hold half termly Learner Voice meetings to review the classroom learning experience of students in each year group.
